South Africa's hottest celebrity exports

Okay, so away from the annoying news of politics and economic instability, I just dont want to hear about the latest , Julius Malema news for a while.

I have decided to create something positive Mzansi has offered the world thus far, just gives me a little bit of hope.
Recent news of a famous South African beauty making it on LAs Bold and the Beautiful has given me an appetite to track other lucky locals.

So without further a due, let me present SA's finest!

Terry Pheto
Not only does she have a gorgeous face, but her demeanor and personality makes one just fall in love with her.
We fell inlove with Terry, in the film Tsotsi and on tv shows like Zone 14 and she even became the face of L'OREAL Paris. Well these days Terry can be seen on American TV screens on the daytime soap the Bold and the Beautiful, which will soon air in South Africa.

Lesley Anne Brandt
Most of us know the face of Lesley Anne , as the beautiful slave girl "Naeviae" on Sparticus "Blood and Sand". Well not many will know that the beautiful Lesley is actually a Cape Town girl , yes born and bred. Brandt and her family relocated to Auckland, New Zealand, where she later did some modelling work, before appearing in a New Zealand comedy entitled " Diplomatic Immunity". She has since been seen in many television programmes, such as Chuck and CSI New York , but also have some upcoming television and film roles in the coming year.

Arnold Vosloo

Born in Pretoria and bred in Port Elizabeth, yes Arnold Vosloo is another famous South African in Hollywood. Starting his acting career in theatre in plays, such as Boetie gaan border toe , (an Afrikaans comedy based on the border war in Namibia)  and later moving on to films. He has made quite a name for himself after moving to the U.S. , where he had a number of theatrical performances, before landing his first film role in 1992 , titled 1492 : Conquest of Paradise. Since then he has been on many films starring opposite stars like Jean Claude Van Damme.

Charlize Theron
Another famous face from South Africa, if not the most famous. She went from boerenooi to bell of ball, she first captured South Africas attention when she won a modelling contest, which allowed her to tour through Milan and later move to New York. Charlize was discovered by a talent agent in a New York bank, after he witnessed Charlize yelling at the teller, who refused to cash the cheque her mother had sent her , in order to pay the rent. Since that historic moment, she has appeard in numerous block buster films, like Devils Advocate , Italian Job and of course the role she won an Oscar for Monster .

Sharlto Copley
Born in Pretoria on 27 November 1973, he is not only an actor , but also a producer and director, talk about a multi talented man. We first became aware of Sharlto in the Academy Award nominated District 9, where he played the role of Wickus Van der Merwe a police officer assigned to relocate a community of extraterrestrials, who later gets in too deep. We also saw Copley recreate Murdock from the 80s A - TEAM,  and doing a splendid job at that, therefore I am sure we can expect even more to come from this new Hollywood hottie.

Kandyse McClure
Another South African stunner, is Durban born Kandyse McClure, well known on American television as Dualla, the beautiful officer from Battlestar Galactica. Kandyse's acting career started unexpectedly , when her mother persuaded her to audition for a role in a play her friend was producing, well luckily her career did not end there, as she went on to star in other shows like In a class of His Own and Dark Angel among others.

Others to watch out for :

Carmen Solomons
Cape Town born, up and coing model and she is already making a huge splash on the international fashion scene.

Candyce Swannepoel
Already made it as a Victoria Secret Angel, but there is still alot more in store for gorgeous South African bombshell.
